Start with what we can't see: your name, your address, your card. None of it passes through this site, because nothing is sold here -- the retailer's checkout handles all of that under its own privacy policy.

What we do see is thin: page-level counts of what gets read and which lines draw the most clicks. It's the kind of number that tells us to write more about pencils and less about pomade, and nothing more personal than that.

Outbound clicks carry a referral code that names this catalog, not you. It's how the bar keeps its lights on, and it identifies the site that sent the click -- never the person who made it.
